Hello all –
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog. I was inspired to create this blog to help those who also struggle with managing their mental health and have a difficult time understanding and controlling their anxieties, fears, depression, insecurities…and the list goes on. I believe I have struggled with anxiety and depression for a long time without realizing the extent of it. Three years ago the signs of its severity came creeping in when life hit hard. Everything at that time seemed to be raging through my life like a massive earthquake crumbling the foundation of joy beneath my feet. A failed relationship, a huge licensure exam that would determine my future putting my stress over the limits, my grandmother passing away and then to top it all off finding out my dad had a terminal illness. I struggled with finding peace, joy and a sense of hope knowing that the one person I always looked up to and the one person who believed in me was terminally ill. Fast forward three years later and I can honestly say these feelings are still ones I struggle with but through the process I have found joy in the little things. Through my growth and a changed perspective I have come to realize how many people around me face the same inward battles. And it truly devastates me knowing there is someone out there that I cannot reach and provide hope to. By creating this blog I am striving to reach those whose hearts are hurting and need encouragement, joy and most of all a little hope. In my journey with managing my mental health I have found great outlets and want to use this blog to share some of the best ways to manage your mental health whether it be through fitness, spiritual growth, diving into purposeful relationships or writing so that you may also find joy in the little things even through life’s daily struggles.
