This is for the ones who feel trapped.

Be still. Let go and let god.

— Psalm 46:10

You’re trapped in a toxic relationship, a financial crisis, in isolation during this 2020 pandemic, in a relationship with abuse of some kind, in a depressive state, in fear of not being able to afford an education, a single parent trying to make it through…this list is endless and can be defined as your battle. This one is for you because I have been there and find myself sinking back into this place more often than I would like to admit. I feel this tight rope suffocating me from genuine happiness and contentment. Those lingering thoughts setting in of the different ways to escape this earthly world – unhealthy and toxic thoughts. These aren’t things you should be ashamed of but this battle isn’t one you should fight alone. There is something BIGGER than any fear or feeling of being trapped. Through those moments I have found my one saving grace, the one whom I can find hope in even amidst the doubt and fear that settles into my heart during these trying times. He is merciful, gracious and is a God of glory. He makes us this promise in Isaiah 41:10:

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

He is willing to take the pain and hurt from you only asking one thing – that you give him ALL OF YOU. Every secret, every insecurity, every doubt, every fear…by simply falling to your knees and giving him your heart he can bring healing that you have never experienced before.

Through these times don’t be afraid to ask him to help you to persevere or find peace. And most of all pray! Pray for healing through the hurt but also for saving! These feelings or situations may appear to be too big to overcome but if there is one thing I can promise is that the lord is sovereign and his love is greater than any battle that you may currently be experiencing.

Every mountain is only as big as you allow it to be. Opening your heart to the lord gives you the opportunity to climb that mountain and I promise beyond the mountain is a beautiful valley. One with peace, freedom, contentment and glory! All you need to do is fall on your knees.

  1. Awesome analogy of a broken world with a solution BIGGER than any of us could image..
We each need to be that piece of rope that ties us together with God being the Knot at the end to keep us from fraying..
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and words ..They are helpful to even me your Mom, who worries about you but thanks God every day for my beautiful girls and Husband who gives me reason to Love and cherish each day..
I have the Best Family and Friends and together with our Sovereign Lord and Savior we will weather through this storm as well….
